About Us

We’re passionate about travel at Trip Me Up. Nothing beats that feeling of excited anticipation as you pack to go away. The unique holiday buzz as you prepare to leave behind the daily routine and go on an adventure.

I’m Suzie, the founder, and I’ve been crazy about travel since I was little. I didn’t see much of the world as a child, but sure have made up for that since and it’s been my job for the past 14 years too. Now I put my passion and knowledge to good use by organising holidays for others, helping them enjoy a memorable trip without the stress of planning and booking it.

At Trip Me Up, we partner with hotels that give you their best prices and complimentary extras because we don’t charge them commission, unlike the big hotel booking companies, which charge hotels up to 30% of every booking.

We work with local tour companies that care about their communities and the environment, giving you a personal, authentic experience because we book with them directly, not through a huge online company that also charges up to 30% commission.

Choose from one of our trips (new ones are added each week) or ask us to plan a holiday just for you. Simply send an enquiry or call and tell us what you want. You will not get lots of pushy emails and calls, that’s not our style. Our reputation rests on you having a fabulous experience with us and spreading the word to your friends, so you won’t experience any hard sales tactics.

For your peace of mind, we protect your money with Protected Trust Services and are also ATOL protected, meaning you can book with the confidence that your money is safe.

Get in touch today and we will make your dream trip happen to anywhere in the world.

My favourite trips

I have a particular passion for road trips. Pre-children, I drove from the UK to southern Spain and Portugal, to Corsica via the ferry from Nice, around Sardinia, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Morocco and Costa Rica. Since having children (now 8 and 9) we have driven from the UK to south-western Turkey, to Sicily, and around Australia and Thailand.

Our children were 4 and 5 when we drove to Turkey. We took the summer ski lifts up a beautiful Austrian mountain, stopped for dinner in Belgium where the children tasted Orangina for the first time, enjoyed an overnight ferry adventure from Italy to Greece, ate one of our favourite ever meals in Bologna, swam in Lake Como and navigated a chaotic Greek-Turkish border crossing.

On the Sicily trip, we went to Florence and Rome en route and packed in the sightseeing, enjoyed hikes to hidden coves on the unspoilt Cilento coast, which sits south of the much busier Amalfi coast, stayed in the beautiful town of Tropea that has gorgeous views over Stromboli, hiked to the top of Mount Etna, stayed in a tiny town on Sicily’s southern coast where we played on the beach and ate award-winning pizza, stopped in Tuscany for a couple of nights in a family-run hotel surrounded by stunning countryside, with an Olympic-sized pool and loads of tortoises to delight the children…

Being on the move independently gives one a completely different perspective on a country in a way that is not possible when you fly to a single destination. Travelling by car and train makes me feel alive.
